Diets? The Science and the Myth.

Nutritionists in eating disorder treatment constantly talk to patients about the negative effects of dieting, but many times this information goes over the individuals’ head. “But I want to be thin!” these young girls may think. “I don’t care, I want to be on a diet!”

In this TedTalks from Sandra Aamodt, the neuroscientists discusses the physical and scientific reasons why humans cannot outwit their natural set point weight, how diets are unreliable, and what “mindful eating” truly means.
